I heard your Mom said that the service dealer won't return back your NB, is this correct?!
This is un-normal, must has some reasons, I guess they had broken the "warranty sticker paper", then,even after you back to Taiwan, it may not able to fix this NB in "free of charge"!! Or, maybe this NB has demaged more after they open it, or, they just want to earn more from you.......
Anyway, I suggest you give up this NB, don't waste time on negotiation & running back and forth this place. We can buy a new one after you back, it is cheap now in Taiwan, not worth to pay Euro 220.00+ to fix this ( and, even they fixed it, the OS may wrong without office/anti-virus/....installations, and, you may not able to ask their further service if this NB has problem again after couple months ).
Just forget this NB and keep moving on your journey, otherwise, it will ruin your whole journey and you won't able to enjoy this trip. It is not worth, sometimes, give up something can get more to you!!!
